The “Husky” or nickel cornerback position for Alabama is an interesting one. A lot of responsibility is put on that role, including run support, pressuring quarterbacks, and limiting production from slot wide receivers. DeVonta Smith, a fourth-year player from the 2021 recruiting cycle, expects to be the starter against Western Kentucky.
