Levi Wallace had to weigh himself one day after the national championship game and -- as surely everyone has experienced at some point -- was surprised at the number that popped up.
The former Alabama standout had always been leaner than most college cornerbacks. Not that lean, though.
"I shocked myself," Wallace said. "I was like, 'Damn, I'm light.'"
The 6-foot Wallace had weighed 178 pounds most of last season with the Crimson Tide. Until getting the flu right before the national title game.
Wallace barely ate for multiple days during the buildup to that game, was "throwing up everywhere" and ended up losing 11 pounds.
