Nick Saban is stacking up a coaching staff to make a run at his seventh national championship for the University of Alabama.
He replaced Bill O’Brien with Tommy Rees as an offensive coordinator, and Saban brought in someone familiar with Rees’ playcalling as an off-field analyst. John McNulty, 54, is the Crimson Tide’s latest offensive analyst. He was a defensive player in college, serving as a safety at Penn State from 1988 to 1990. His coaching career started in 1991 at the University of Michigan as a graduate assistant. McNulty has been an offensive assistant since then. He’s coached wide receivers, quarterbacks, tight ends, and served as an offensive coordinator.
