During the offseason, Alabama hired Ryan Grubb as its new offensive coordinator. The hiring signals Alabama’s willingness to adapt and evolve as an offense. One position group that should benefit from the hiring of Grubb is tight end.
In 2023, Grubb used an offensive gameplan at Washington that featured a number of skilled players. Two of which included tight ends Jake Westover and Devin Culp. The pair combined to have 62 receptions for 641 yards and six touchdowns.
To put that into perspective, Alabama’s tight ends combined to have 47 receptions for 592 yards and three touchdowns.
