Nick Saban has been a recruiting juggernaut ever since arriving at Alabama. More than simply the high ranking of his classes – which is extraordinary in it’s own right – Saban’s recruits rarely bust. His three-star “gambles” almost always pay off, as do his risks with junior college players and transfers.
In the last 10 years, nobody has recruited more talent than Saban and nobody’s batting average when it comes to those players making an impact has been higher either. Could this success trace back to his time as a defensive coordinator with the Cleveland Browns under Bill Belichick?
