Kirby Smart is back in a familiar place, but he got greeted with “Boo” chants from fans.
He spent nine seasons as a defensive assistant under Nick Saban at Alabama from 2007 to 2015. He has been Georgia’s head football coach since 2016, but this is his second time coaching the Bulldogs in a matchup at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Smart suffered a 41-24 loss to Saban and the Crimson Tide in the 2020 Coronavirus season.
He looks to get the Alabama monkey off his back; however, Smart has a challenger in Kalen DeBoer.
