"Dixieland Delight" made its triumphant return to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday night.
During the fourth quarter of Alabama-Missouri, the classic Alabama hit played on the stadium's PA system for the first time since 2015. Alabama primarily dropped it from the musical rotation because of a well-publicized situation during the 2014 Iron Bowl when fans loudly sang vulgar add-ons to the song.
After years of trying to bring it back, Alabama relented this week and publicized a "Dixieland Delight Done Right" campaign featuring Alabama running back Damien Harris, athletic director Greg Byrne and Terry Saban.
"We're going to do our part here and try this one more time," Byrne said in a video.
