Derrick Henry won the Heisman Trophy at Alabama in the 2015 season, when he helped the Crimson Tide win the CFP national championship. He set SEC single-season records by rushing for 2,219 yards and 28 touchdowns.
Despite that performance, Henry didn't go off the board in the 2016 NFL Draft until the 45th pick, when the Tennessee Titans took the running back as the 13th choice of the second round.
Linebacker Rashaan Evans also will be entering the NFL Draft off an Alabama national championship, and when the league meets for its 83 annual draft in Arlington, Texas, Evans is expected to be a first-round selection on Thursday night, even though he won't carry the mountain of accolades into the pros that Henry did.
