Bryce Young was more than worthy of Most Valuable Player honors, but Alabama’s defense had a lot to say in the A-Day Game.
Last week, there was only one offensive touchdown scored at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The first and second-team defenses combined for six sacks, nine tackles for loss, two interceptions, 10 pass breakups, 11 quarterback pressures, four forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. Both units also allowed only 11 conversions on 29 third down attempts. Ga’Quincy McKinstry and Kristian Story both recorded an interception, while McKinstry, Deontae Lawson and Jaylen Moody each recovered a fumble. Moody returned his takeway for a touchdown for the Crimson Team.
