Wallace Gilberry announces retirement from NFL

Former Baldwin County High School and Alabama standout Wallace Gilberry has announced his retirement from the NFL via Instagram.

Gilberry went to training camp and played in the preseason with the Cincinnati Bengals this year. But the Bengals released the defensive lineman on Sept. 2 in the roster reduction from 90 players to the regular-season limit of 53, and he had not signed with another team.
