He is looking to hear his name called in the NFL Draft and at Alabama, Nick Saban prepared Shyheim Carter for the moment.
Once a four-star prospect from Kentwood, La., he came in the program’s 2016 recruiting class. After learning from players such as Minkah Fitzpatrick, Carter earned the starting role at nickel cornerback in 2018. He shared a team-high 10 pass breakups and recorded two interceptions – both returned for touchdowns. Last season, Carter posted 43 total tackles with seven breakups and one pick. While he was a versatile defensive back for the Crimson Tide, Carter is looking forward to showing an NFL team that he can be productive.
