Veteran DB for Tennessee arrested on felony assault charge ahead of Alabama game

Tennessee’s defense may be without a senior leader in its secondary against Alabama.

According to Trey Wallace of OutKick via FOX, defensive back Jaylen McCollough got arrested Sunday on a felony assault charge.

The police report said, “aggravated assault” at 9:14 p.m.

No monetary offer has been made for his bond. McCollough is a starter for the Volunteers through five games. The 6-foot, 205-pounder has 23 tackles, a tackle for loss, and two quarterback hurries.
