Even artists don’t forget where they are when they come to Tuscaloosa.
During a Friday-night performance at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, rapper Vanilla Ice rocked a Mark Ingram Alabama football jersey, much to the delight of the pro-Crimson Tide crowd.
Vanilla Ice, best known for his hit single “Ice Ice Baby,” removed his jacket to reveal the jersey a song or two into his performance, according to Tuscaloosa sports talk radio station Tide 99.1.
The jersey featured both Ingram’s signature and a BCS National Championship Game patch from the 2009 season. Alabama defeated Texas, 37-21, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.
