Income tax time is about to come for most people, but the University of Alabama Board of Trustees decided to take care of its football staff on Tuesday.
While former players took the field for Pro Day, seven assistant coaches had their contracts approved as the Crimson Tide prepares for next season. According to an article from USA TODAY Sports, Alabama is paying its assistants over $7 million for 2019 and handling $565,000 in buyouts for the coaches that were hired over from different schools.
The new assistants for the Tide include Steve Sarkisian, Charles Kelly, Charles Huff, Brian Baker, Sal Sunseri and Holmon Wiggins (contract not disclosed).
