Four months after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident, Trey Sanders is poised to return to the football field for Alabama.
He has been rehabbing with Jeremy Gsell and Dr. Matt Rhea in the offseason. When he is not doing resistance marching at the indoor practice facility, Gsell had Sanders running on the anti-gravity treadmill.
A talented running back from Port Saint Joe, Fla., the former five-star suffered a hip injury from the incident in November of 2020. Before it happened, Sanders totaled 80 yards rushing on 12 carries in the Crimson Tide’s 41-0 victory over Mississippi State.
