He needed a change after two years at the University of Southern California, but the west coast athlete feels home with Alabama football in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Domani Jackson, a product of Mater Dei High School, transferred to the Crimson Tide in the spring. The 6-foot, 197-pounder wanted the tough culture that comes with Alabama and he is thriving. He produced a good spring, had a strong offseason, and looks good through five practices of fall camp. Jackson was one of a few defensive players available to speak to reporters after Tuesday’s practice. He is happy to be a part of a powerhouse program, regardless if it came with Nick Saban’s retirement.
