Searching for explosive plays has been an exploration Nick Saban has been on for weeks now. After losing wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle along with running back Najee Harris, the Crimson Tide’s passing attack hasn’t had nearly the same effect it did last season.
But of late, Alabama has seen big performances from receivers John Metchie and Jameson Williams but now, a third receiver is getting himself into the mix at just the right time in sophomore Traeshon Holden.
With the tight end play still being inconsistent from a passing standpoint, there was a need for another explosive player in the passing game and Holden is taking advantage.
