Two wide receivers formed a unique group before coming to the University of Alabama.
During football camps and playing high school ball in California, Traeshon Holden and Jermaine Burton formed the “DB assassins” group with some friends. The name came from Holden, Burton, and their friends dominating defensive backs in camp sessions and game days. They knew they were the best against any opponent whenever they stepped on a field.
Burton carried his confidence to the University of Georgia, where he caught 53 passes for 901 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 24 games. He assisted the Bulldogs to a College Football Playoff National Championship victory over Alabama in 2021, finishing the season with 26 receptions for 497 yards and five scores.
