Title worthy? Answer for Tide lies in 4-game stretch that begins in Hog country

Maybe it's not Murderers' Row but Alabama's upcoming four-game stretch will provide enough evidence to tell us if this really is a team that can chase a fifth national championship in eight years.

We know the defense is fast and furious and the special teams are championship caliber, but winning a national title with a true freshman quarterback just isn't done.

The last time a true freshman quarterback -- we're not talking redshirt here -- has led his team to a national title was in 1985 when Oklahoma's Jamelle Holieway, who took over for an injured Troy Aikman, guided the Sooners to the big trophy.
