After securing Ryan Tannehill to a big deal, the Tennessee Titans have some time to work on something for Derrick Henry.
On Monday, the team decided to franchise-tag him – according to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN. For running backs, being under the tag for the coming season would have them pocketing $12.36 million via overthecap.com.
The Titans would have until July 15 to agree on a multi-year extension for Henry.
A former All-American and Heisman winner at Alabama, the second-round pick of the 2016 NFL Draft led the league in rushing with 1,540 yards last season.
