Tide taking 'simple' approach to A-Day

The first-team offense faces the first-team defense and the second-team offense faces the second-team defense.

By design, it is also one of the most simple. Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban doesn’t apologize for that one bit. After all, there are cameras everywhere – and people might be watching.

“We certainly don’t want to show what we’re doing or what we’ve done any different in the spring in the A-Day game – which is on TV and everybody gets a copy of – to help our opponents,” Saban said after Thursday night’s practice.

And as for the game being “vanilla” on offense, which likely gives the defense an advantage – as last year’s 17-13 final score indicated – Saban dismissed that idea, too.
