The Alabama-LSU game will be a lot of things this weekend. The annual bout southerners should consider calling the "Grandpappy of Them All" has a mountain of goodies riding on it, but in such a bizarre 2015 season, it does give the SEC a chance to really flex its muscles to the playoff committee.
More importantly, the matchup between No. 4 LSU (7-0, 4-0 SEC) and No. 7 Alabama (7-1, 4-1) is a chance for the SEC West to regain some clout it's greatly lost in the 2015 season. Two impressive performances or one tremendous performance under the dazzling lights of Bryant-Denny Stadium could right the sins of a division that only a year ago, some people thought was the best in all of football, but has now been reduced to, well, ordinary.
