Alabama football’s defensive coordinator, Kane Wommack revealed multiple freshmen should see snaps at cornerback against Western Kentucky.
The Tide is looking for some dependability in 2024 at cornarback after losing Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry to the NFL. Many expect Domani Jackson to start at cornerback for Alabama with the opposite corner position up for grabs. The list of names battling for the spot includes Dashawn Jones, Zabien Brown, Jaylen Mbakwe, Jahlil Hurly and Zavier Mincey.
Mincey, Brown and Mbakwe are all freshman. The Tide DC believes it is a good chance a couple of them will play in Alabama’s’ season opener and throughout the season.
