As they prepared to play the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, the Tennessee Titans announced on Saturday the release of fullback Jalston Fowler.
A prep star at Vigor who joined the Titans as a fourth-round draft choice out of Alabama, Fowler had not played in the past two games. Tennessee designated him as one of its seven inactive players for both contests.
Fowler had played in 42 games for the Titans, with eight starts. Primarily deployed as a blocking back, Fowler had 20 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries and 58 yards and one TD on six receptions with Tennessee.
