A sixth Alabama alumnus will have been a member of two Super Bowl winners after Sunday, when the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots square off in the NFL championship game.
Dont'a Hightower is a linebacker for the Patriots. Courtney Upshaw is a defensive tackle for the Falcons. They're former Alabama teammates. Each already has a Super Bowl ring - Upshaw with the Ravens in the 2012 season's championship game and Hightower with the Patriots in the 2014 season's championship game.
If Upshaw and the Falcons turn out to be the winner, then Alabama will have two alumni as Super Bowl champs this season.
