The University of Alabama women's basketball team outscored Grambling State 15-2 in the second quarter of its 72-57 victory on Sunday afternoon at Foster Auditorium. With the win, the Crimson Tide (10-2) extends their home win streak to eight in a row, tying their longest streak since 2010.
Grambling State went 11-of-14 from the field in the first quarter – making nine shots in a row to lead by as many as 11 points. Monisha Neal led the Tigers, scoring 11 points in the opening 10 minutes, and 16 on the afternoon.
In the second quarter, Alabama went on an 11-0 run, holding Grambling State scoreless for seven minutes.
