He was named the head football coach for the University of Texas on last week, but Steve Sarkisian is not letting the new appointment distract him from the task at hand.
After coaching Alabama’s offense to 31 points in a 31-14 victory over Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl, Sarkisian is one game away from becoming a perfect national champion as a primary coordinator. Although he has to get his offensive staff prepared to coach the Longhorns, the Broyles Award winner for this season told reporters on Wednesday that this has been a ‘normal game week.’
“My focus is on the game, I’m prepping for the ballgame,” Sarkisian said.
