The play of the top two quarterbacks wasn't the only interesting aspect of Alabama's scrimmage on Saturday.

*** Word is that third-string quarterback Mac Jones looked good. He had at least one touchdown pass.
*** Josh Jacobs, the forgotten man in the competition for playing time at running back, is back healthy after missing the spring and made some plays during the scrimmage. So did freshman running back Jerome Ford, who has apparently been doing some good things through the early part of fall camp.
