Some context for what Alabama defense did last 2 weeks

Appreciating what Alabama's defense has done in the last two weeks requires traveling back to Sept. 16.

They were mad that night when Colorado State dropped numbers on the Crimson Tide not typically seen by a non-conference visitor. The response has been, frankly, brutal.

Neither Vanderbilt, nor Ole Miss scored a touchdown since the Rams scored 23 points on Alabama in Week 3. That uneven 41-23 victory led to Nick Saban's talking point that contrasts winning a game and defeating an opponent. The Tide won the Colorado State game before beating Vanderbilt and Ole Miss with little regard.
