SMU head football coach Rhett Lashlee gave his thoughts on his team potentially missing the College Football Playoff if they lose in the ACC Championship game to Clemson.
Lashlee was on ON3’s Andy & Ari and was asked about the situation his team finds itself in ahead of the conference title game.
“If our team all got COVID today and didn’t play, we’re in,” Lashlee said in a stern voice. “We don’t have another data point to drop us below anybody that’s behind us. I think if you open up that door, you’re going to see a lot of people do a lot of crazy things.
