DALLAS -- The last thing Kirby Smart is right now is torn.
He might be the Georgia head coach, the job he’s dreamed about since he first got into coaching, but he’s committed to finishing his job at Alabama, which plays Michigan State on Thursday in the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.
As weird as that may sound, it was an easy call for Smart, who desperately wants to bring Alabama one last national championship before setting out to rekindle those national championship hopes at Georgia, which hasn’t won one in 35 years.
