Slumping Buffalo Bills turn to Joe Webb for 'energy' on offense

Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott already had tried a change at quarterback this season -- with disastrous results. He benched Tyrod Taylor to start Nathan Peterman against the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 19, and the rookie QB threw five first-half interceptions in a 54-24 loss.

Taylor reappeared as Buffalo's regular quarterback the next week. But during Sunday's game against the New England Patriots, McDermott took him out for a handful of plays to have Joe Webb at the helm of the Bills' offense.

The former Wenonah High School and UAB standout is Buffalo's third-team quarterback, but he also leads the team in special-teams plays and has been on the field for three snaps as a wide receiver in 2017.
