Carter (6 feet 0, 190), from Kentwood (La.) High, had been committed to Alabama for over a year before decommitting in August. He is a top-75 prospect overall and a top-10 cornerback.
“Carter is a thick, 190-pound cornerback,” gridironnow.com recruitining editor Jamie Newberg said. “His game is all about speed and quickness. He’s a terrific athlete with good area quickness, and he can produce a terrific burst of speed when driving on the ball. Carter also is solid against the run.”
Carter took his official visit to Tuscaloosa on January 22 and made two unofficial visits during the fall.
