Wide receiver Gehrig Dieter is battling to earn a spot on the Kansas City Chiefs' regular-season roster after spending all last season on the NFL team's practice squad. Catching his first pro touchdown pass can't hurt.
With 9:52 left in the third quarter of Friday night's preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, Dieter scored on a 27-yard pass from quarterback Chad Henne as the Chiefs took a 17-14 lead.
