The SEC will kick off its 85th football season next week. Here are 10 numbers to keep in mind for the new season:
2 SEC schools have won four consecutive conference championships, a feat Alabama could accomplish this season after taking the title in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The Crimson Tide won five league titles in a row from 1971 through 1975, and Florida won four straight SEC crowns from 1993 through 1996.
4 Alabama victories in the Crimson Tide's first four conference games of the 2017 season would give coach Nick Saban the highest on-the-field winning percentage in regular-season league games in SEC history.
