Super Bowl winning coach Tony Dungy was in town this week for the University of Alabama’s coaching clinic, and he delivered a message that caught Nick Saban’s ear.
It’s a message Saban is likely to carry forward throughout the remainder of spring, summer and fall camp, and it was a theme he talked to his team about before its second scrimmage of the spring Saturday afternoon.
Dungy, who won Super Bowl XLI as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, learned from his former coach, Chuck Noll, that champions don’t have to do extraordinary things, they just have to do ordinary things extraordinarily.
