On Sunday afternoon three star linebacker Riley Cole decommited from Alabama. Cole says that Alabama started talking to him about greyshirting. Greyshirting is asking an incoming recruit to delay their enrollment in classes until the second term of their Freshman year. By doing this Alabama is able to count that player’s recruitment against the 2017 class instead of 2016.

There’s been a lot of talk the past few weeks about Alabama’s 2016 recruiting class not being as highly ranked or as large as usual, but Alabama is still actively in the hunt for at least seven five star recruits.
