Former USC coach Steve Sarkisian will meet with Alabama this week to discuss a role on the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff, The Tuscaloosa News reported Sunday.
Sarkisian is expected to serve as an offensive analyst with the Crimson Tide if hired.
Sarkisian, 42, was fired from USC last October due to alcohol-related issues, his second season as the Trojans’ head coach. He has since gone to rehab for treatment.
Prior to taking the job, he was Washington’s head coach for five seasons from 2009-13 and a USC assistant for seven seasons, including two as the team’s offensive coordinator.
