Former Alabama cornerback Kendall Sheffield has transferred to Blinn College, 247Sports reported late Wednesday night.
Sheffield, a redshirt freshman, reportedly has already signed with the junior college.
The announcement of Sheffield’s decision to transfer comes after missing three straight practices earlier this week. Earlier Wednesday, it was reported that Sheffield had elected to transfer, though a destination wasn’t revealed.
During his news conference Tuesday night, Alabama coach Nick Saban said he wasn’t sure of Sheffield’s status but that he would be “happy to have him back.”
“He’s a fine young man,” Saban said.
