University of Alabama Athletic Director Bill Battle is expected to return to work at the university on a limited basis “very soon”, according to a report on RollTide.com
Just one month ago, the University announced Battle’s leave of absence following the multiple myeloma diagnosis. June 27th, Battle underwent a stem cell transplant at The Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant Center at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. The particular type of transplant used his own stem cells for the treatment.
