Alabama football has successfully replaced Mark Stoops and Charlie Strong.
After hiring Mark Ophrey from Utah State to be a defensive analyst, sources have confirmed with yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine that the Crimson Tide will hire Dave Huxtable too. Huxtable, 64, was a long-time defensive coordinator in the Atlantic Coast Conference. He served at Georgia Tech (1996-97), North Carolina (2002-03), and North Carolina State (2013-19).
He was also a defensive coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh (2012), and the University of Central Florida from 2008 to 2010.
Last season, Huxtable was a defensive analyst for the University of Texas.
