Report: Alabama adds an assistant coach

SI.com reports that Brent Key — who had been interim coach as well as offensive coordinator/running backs coach at UCF — will be the Tide’s new interior line coach. Current Alabama line coach Mario Cristobal then would become the tight ends/offensive tackles coach.

So what does that mean for current tight ends coach/special teams coordinator Bobby Williams? Williams has been at Alabama since 2008, and he also worked with Nick Saban at Michigan State, LSU and with the Miami Dolphins.

Key spent the past 11 years at UCF, including six seasons as the Knights’ offensive line coach.
