ICYMI: Alabama Baseball Post-Season Hopes Riding on End of Season
It was a weekend of sunshine with a full house at Rhoads Stadium. An average of 3,000 fans were in attendance to watch the matchup between the Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Friday’s series opener was a great momentum booster for the Alabama softball team, winning 7-2 over the Bulldogs. Leona Lafaele alongside Marisa Runyon both homered in the bottom of the first inning setting up the high scoring game. Later Haley McCleney would add a homer herself. The Tide was dominant Friday, allowing Georgia only two runs late in the fifth inning.
