October is the month of reckoning in college football. It is when contenders are separated from the pretenders. Getting through September without losing or taking one loss is not the hardest thing in the world to accomplish but the calendar flips and things change. Injuries start to pile up. Some team find rhythms and gel as units while others do not. Conference road games begin and the cupcakes fade from memory. October is the time when teams can start to be identified for what they are... except LSU. I still don’t know what they are.
