It is probably not an exaggeration to dub Illinois’s improbable win over Wisconsin as the “Biggest Upset of the College Football Season”. First off, there have not been too many upsets this season among ranked Power 5 teams. South Carolina’s upset over Georgia was unexpected but not out of the realm of possibilities. But this Illini shocker... Woo Boy. Consider that the Illini were 30.5 point underdogs and have not had a winning season since 2011, three coaches ago. The Badgers hadn’t trailed all season, and did not trail in this one until the Illinois kicker nailed a 39-yard field goal as time expired.
