The San Francisco 49ers signed defensive lineman Quinton Dial to a three-year contract extension on Wednesday.
Dial is a former Clay-Chalkville prep standout who played for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Dial is entering the last season of his rookie contract after joining San Francisco as a fifth-round choice in the 2013 NFL Draft.

"They want me to be a good leader for the guys coming in and lead them to our ultimate goal, which is winning the Super Bowl," Dial told the San Jose Mercury News.
