PUP, NFI, DNR, injuries: Slow starts at training camp for some state stars

Every NFL team has held at least one practice at training camp, with the Houston Texans and the San Francisco 49ers the last to start with their first full-squad workouts on Sunday.

Some players didn't make it to the first practice, though, including a few of the 166 with Alabama football roots on NFL rosters.

Linebacker Rolando McClain (Decatur High, Alabama) and running back Tre Mason (Auburn) were put on the reserve/did not report list by the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Rams, respectively, after they failed to show up for the start of training camp.
