Taylor Poe's playing time this year has dotted the University of Alabama baseball schedule like a fragment of Morse code. But he came through loud and clear on Tuesday night.
Poe, making just his second start of the season, drove in the game-winning runs in Alabama's 5-3 victory over Troy at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. He's had only a few chances at the plate this season, but he's collected a couple of Alabama's biggest hits in those moments.
"Hat's off to Taylor," Crimson Tide coach Mitch Gaspard said. "Every time we've called on him, he's done a nice job back there.
