Alabama Softball has been on a roll all season. Winning 19 of their last 20 games, it’s safe to say that they are one of the top teams in the nation, but obviously the name Alabama does not simply just win the games. It takes star players such as Montana Fouts to put in the work and really get the Tide to where they are now.
Fouts is a Junior for the Tide, and she has been a standout star since her arrival at The Capstone. As just a freshman in 2019, Fouts began to rack up the accolades:
NFCA Second Team All-American (2019)
Women’s College World Series All-Tournament Team (2019)
SEC Freshman of the Year (2019)
First Team All-SEC (2019)
SEC All-Freshman Team (2019)
NFCA First Team All-South Region (2019)
USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Finalist (2019)
Schutt Sports/NFCA Division I Freshman of the Year Top-Three Finalist (2019)
SEC All-Tournament Team (2019)
In her Sophomore debut at Florida State, she struck out seven batters in seven innings.
