Patriots’ cornerback Cyrus Jones sustained season-ending knee injury

A tough break for a former Alabama cornerback.

All Cyrus Jones could do on Thursday night was pound his hand on the ground in frustration, as he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and partially torn meniscus in his right knee during an NFL preseason game between the New England Patriots and New York Giants.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport first broke the information – stating that Jones was starting surge in preseason before sustaining a season-ending injury per sources. New England’s third round pick of the 2016 NFL Draft becomes the second casualty of an ACL, joining veteran wide receiver Julian Edelman.
